“You fear going down, that is why you cannot rise up!”

Not quite what I wanted to hear when I asked Father for more of Him… to be lost in Him…

I then saw a vision of people trying to jump upwards… I just saw their heads… “Oh, they are trying so hard… bless them Lord”

Holy Spirit gently chided me, “That’s the problem… they are trying to do it in the natural… and you are only seeing part of the picture!”

Huh!… and then I saw their feet as well… they were all standing on a trampoline, but as they tried to jump up they got no benefit from the trampoline, they were really wasting their time and not succeeding at all.

Then I saw myself among the people and felt how I started to focus on jumping downwards, as I jumped down and let the trampoline catapult me up, I rose higher, then I focused on going lower, trying to make my body heavier so I will fall faster and go lower. The lower I went the higher the trampoline catapulted me, until I was going really high. It was exciting and exhilarating!

As I started the downwards journey of the trampoline experience I felt my stomach turn and it felt like it stayed up there where I was… this felt very much like fear!

I read once that a baby is born with only two fears, the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Makes sense, neither is pleasant. Interesting that we feel a reaction to fear in our stomach/intestine. With a loud noise we instinctively double over as our stomach muscles contract. With fear, anxiety and worry we get stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic colon and other digestive problems.

Why is this the case?

The seat of our emotions is our intestine. We feel them in the pit of our stomach. Interesting description… we don’t have a pit in our stomach… but since fear comes from the pit of hell it creates a pit to reside in… in our stomach… and it feels completely at home! Now that is scary! We actually fear the wrong things. We should rather fear allowing fear to move in and squat in our bodies, minds and emotions.

It seems that we have translated this fear of falling into all aspects of our lives. We don’t even want to think about it so we have created negative connotations to falling, going down, descending, etc. which are all seen as so negative that we avoid them at all costs. Up is the only way to go. Success! This is what we strive and work so hard for.

Why?

“My way up is always down!” I heard the Spirit whisper. I saw a picture of the twin towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which were built with the sole intention of being the highest buildings on earth. The problem was that the only land available in Kuala Lumpur was in a river bed! There was no bedrock either, so how to do this? The engineers drilled down through the sand and poured steel-reinforced concrete foundations as deep as the towers are high. Makes sense, and they are still standing years later so the concept is proven.

The spiritual realm always works directly opposite to our carnal mind!!

Our carnal mind is in agreement with the opposer. Since satan opposes God he also opposes us drawing near to God. We must see this to be renewed in the Spirit of our mind.

Eph 4:22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,

Eph 4:23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,

Eph 4:24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

John the Baptist said,

Joh 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Paul poured himself out.

2Ti 4:6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.

2Ti 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

We need to see this as positive and as something to be desired, although this is not our natural inclination.

I read a while ago that a study was done where Christians were asked which they would prefer:

  1. A very even, predictable though unexciting life.
  2. A life with high ‘ highs’ and the inevitable low ‘lows’.

Which would you choose?

Honestly?

Your answer will change the course of your life!

Think about it! NO, STOP! Read on quickly before you think about it.

This is what we usually say, but I’m saying DON’T think about it…. let your spirit rise up and let your spirit choose the direction of your life.

Surprise Sithole says that the moment you come to the table of reasoning your faith disappears, and you will never pray for the dead to rise. He should know, he has seen God raise numerous people from death! I have had two opportunities to pray for the dead to be raised, but both times found myself stuck at the table of reasoning.

O God! Release me from this body of death so that Your will can be done in my life!

Rom 7:24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

Rom 7:25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

This is the key… you overcome in your own life before you can help someone else overcome.

Oh yes. What was your answer to the question?

85% of Christians chose the even, predictable, boring life… No wonder so many churches are dying, stagnant pools instead of a rushing River of Life, overcoming death and releasing life! If you chose with the majority please reconsider and ask Father to set you free from fear, to write His law on your mind and put it in your heart.

Mat 7:12 So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Mat 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.

Mat 7:14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Another related concept to going down is to “Lose” Definition: Mislay, Misplace, Be defeated…

What are you afraid of losing?

Joh 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

Joh 12:25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Joh 12:26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

Do you want to lose your cancer? Your depression? Your fear? Your carnality? Your stinking thinking?

This is fun… think of all the things you would like to lose… make a list… quick! while the Spirit is moving on you…

We talk about life being a Roller coaster ride… On a roller coaster, the steeper the downhill and the more speed you gather going down the higher you rise and the easier it is for you to rise using the momentum of the downhill rush on the uphill…

I am excited… I want to rush downwards so I can rush upwards, higher and higher.

Is the downward rush pleasant? No, but it is absolutely necessary and required.

Go for it! Now!

If you do it fast enough your emotions stay at the top of the last mountain with your stomach… which is fine…  you don’t need them to hold you back… enjoy!

2Pe 1:2 May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

2Pe 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,

2Pe 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

2Pe 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge,

2Pe 1:6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,

2Pe 1:7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.

2Pe 1:8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe 1:9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so near-sighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.

Selah… pause and think about this… be blessed as you do so!

    Praise His Name! Hallelujah!
I have been enjoying reading about the testimonies of the Amazing things God has done and is doing and expect Him to do in this ministry and through each one of you. I had come across this blog here while searching for something else (in which at the moment, I forgot what it was). I praise Him for this “not accidental” find. I hope to read more and maybe one day meet. I will remember you in prayer and will pray in His leading.

    Always in Him,
    sister Gwen~ His vessel
